Women in Science: 50 Fearless Pioneers Who Changed the World

This beautifully presented book is filled with the inspiring true life stories of 50 women who have made notable contributions to science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM), from ancient to modern times.

Alice Ball

Celebrating their work, the book includes famous figures like Marie Curie as well as lesser-known pioneers such as African-American chemist Alice Ball who cured leprosy. Each figure is given a double page spread with eye-catching illustrations and quotes as well as a comprehensive biography of her life and work.

The book also contains fascinating infographics, timelines, stats and a glossary as well as details of some of the sources the author used to research the book, so that particularly keen readers can find out more.

Women in Science will be incredibly motivating for anyone with a passion for STEM, especially girls and young women. Copies are on their way to public and community libraries across the world as well as secondary schools to inspire the next generation of female biologists, mathematicians, doctors, chemists, physicists, engineers and more!
