Help young people fight for their futures

Unlock potential through the power of books

Futures are hanging in the balance for ‘Generation Covid’.

As schools and libraries shut their doors, education was halted for millions of young people across Africa who have no books at home.

Their futures hung in the balance as they stayed at home for months, unable to study, anxious about finishing school and the risk this posed to their career plans and life ambitions.

With few or no books available, students like Abdul were left studying from old notes and feeling worried about the future.

When schools closed I felt terrible. Suddenly I couldn’t access books and I could see myself at a disadvantaged point. I know I could have done much better if I’d had more books to help me learn.

My dream is to go to University and be a surgeon because a family tragedy inspired me to help people when I am older.
