Major Donor Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Major Donor Manager to join the Book Aid International fundraising team. The Major Donor Manager is responsible for growing income from major donors.

At Book Aid International we share the power of books and help create a more equal world. Every year we provide over one million brand-new books to thousands of communities where people have very few opportunities to read, and we work with our partners to support and establish libraries.

The Major Donor Manager will be responsible for managing relationships with existing major donors and senior volunteers, for researching and cultivating new relationships with high-net-worth individuals and for a calendar of events and stewardship opportunities which support growth in major donor income.

  • Salary: £37,000 – £40,000 (pro-rata if part time)
  • Contract: part or full time (28 – 35 hours per week)
  • Place of work: Hybrid (min two days in our Camberwell office)
  • Closing date: 16 April, 2023 11:59 am
  • Team: Fundraising
  • Hours: 28 – 35 hours per week

We have a clear and compelling case for support, as well as a range of restricted projects which are attractive to major donors, we are also launching a new long-term fundraising appeal “Generation Reader” which aims to engage more high value supporters in our work.

To be successful in this role, you will be a committed, creative, and organised individual. Your exceptional relationship management skills will enable you to develop and lead a major donor programme.

We recognise that the skills, experience and qualities of our staff are vital in supporting Book Aid International in achieving its charitable objectives. In return, we offer a good benefits package including competitive salaries, flexible working, generous employer pension contributions and life assurance.

We work with a team of staff who share the belief that books can change lives; we work together to make that belief a reality.

“I am inspired daily by the kindness, dedication, and passion my colleagues show. It is fantastic to work at an organisation where people are so willing to help each other.”
