Children and families visiting the festival on Wednesday 15th August are warmly invited to join us in the Story Box tent to create and decorate their own book character costumes using templates designed by Tor. There’ll also be a fairy tale backdrop to pose for photos in front of for lasting memories.

Tor Freeman, winner of the 2017 Observer/Cape/Comica Short Graphic Story prize, said:

“I am so excited to be a part of this event; Book Aid International is such an amazing charity. By sending new books around the world, they introduce millions of children to the magic of stories and I hope we can reach many in Edinburgh too.”

Tor Freeman and Book Aid International staff will be on hand on the day to help crafters create their perfect character.

Book Aid International and Edinburgh International Book Festival are supported by players of People’s Postcode Lottery. We would like to thanks players for supporting our work and making our collaboration possible.
