Books Change Lives: Mariella Frostrup

13th January 2021 | News

Book Aid International is hosting a virtual live interview and Q&A with writer, broadcaster and campaigner, Mariella Frostrup on Tuesday 23rd February 6- 7pm.

About this event

In Book Aid International’s first Books Change Lives event of 2021, Mariella Frostrup will discuss her approach to writing, her own relationship with reading, and the books that have inspired her throughout her life.

During the interview, Mariella will look back at a selection of the books she has written and curated from 100 of Literature’s Sexiest Stories and The Erotic Review to her 2020 release Wild Women and Their Amazing Adventures Over Land, Sea and Air. Vanity Fair described the latter as “a stirring whistle-stop tour, led by women who often risked disapproval in leaving home to roam the world” while TLS said “like any good travel book, Wild Women succeeds in casting the reader’s mind off on journeys of its own, inspiring fresh plans” and triggering “a longing for faraway places.”

Mariella will also share some insights into her upcoming book Menopause: A Survivor’s Guide. The book builds on her hugely popular 2018 BBC documentary The Truth About Menopause and is set for publication in Autumn 2021.
