ICAP is a leading markets operator and provider of post trade risk mitigation and information services.

In December 2015 Book Aid International was selected to take part in the biggest single fundraising event in the City of London – ICAP’s Annual Charity Day. On this one day ICAP, the world’s largest inter-dealer broker, gives away its revenues and commissions to charity. An amazing £7.5 million was raised globally bringing the total amount raised over 23 years to £125 million.

On this very special day Book Aid International had the support of Mariella Frostrup and John Simpson, who joined us for a guided tour of the dealing room floor, chatted to the ICAP staff and closed a few deals with help from the brokers.

Take a look at the video from the ICAP Charity Day.

The funds raised for Book Aid International on the ICAP Charity Day will create Open Doors Children’s Corners in five libraries in Malawi and deliver a pilot project to introduce digital resources for children into public libraries for the first time ever. The project has the potential to revolutionise access to learning and literacy for children in Malawi.

We would like to thank all the staff and clients of ICAP who supported us on the day.
