In Rwanda, books are too expensive for most people to buy. Libraries can offer people from all walks of life their best or only opportunity to read, learn and come together

Books also play a vital role in peace building following the 1994 genocide when an estimated 800,000 ethnic Tutsis and moderate Hutus were killed by dominant Hutu forces. Today, Rwanda is growing rapidly, and everyone is working toward a peaceful, prosperous future. Books are part of that brighter tomorrow.

Your donation this Christmas will give the gift of books to readers in Rwanda and others like them around the world. For every £2 you donate, we can send another book. Your gift really could change a life. Thank you!
